The 02 August was a day filled with Magic, Inspiration
& Motivation.
Team VCSI, together with the Actonville and Benoni Community Police Forum, joined hands to create the most delightful afternoon of fun, prizes, dancing and entertainment ever!
The event also made it possible for all religious organisations in Actonville; our temples, churches and mosques, to work together on one collaborative project.
The purpose of the event was to promote the Journey of Self - Healing, Inner Peace and Liberation.
250 women residing in Places of Safety throughout the East Rand were invited to the celebrations; along with our Stakeholders, Key Role players, Policing Partners and Supporting Organisations.
Guests were treated to a full three-course traditional Indian Meal, served on banana leaves as an embracement to the rich South- Indian Culture and Heritage. Prizes, gifts and flowers; along with Motivational Talks from our Key Speakers; Mr Mbuyisela Botha, Annemarie Botes and Cezanne Visser, left guests with renewed Purpose, Hope and Meaning.
Prizes included a Blackberry cell phone.
Guests were spoilt rotten with pamper sessions which included Reiki Healing & Chakra Balancing; Neck and Shoulder Massages, Make- up Makeovers and Manicures – all courtesy of Organisations and Community members who volunteered.
Guests were encouraged to express negative words of pain and suffering on their balloons; which later, after religious leaders prayed over, the balloons were released into the universe as a spiritual gesture of letting go of their pain.
